About Savvy Business Sales

At the age of 21 Rod experienced the highs and lows of owning a large business. Seven successful years later he sold that business which allowed him to relocate to the Sunshine Coast and commence his new career in business sales and start a family with his wife Jody.

Now Rod is without question the Sunshine Coast's most experienced Business Broker. Since moving here in 1995, Rod has been involved in hundreds of business sales worth well in excess of $60 million.

Over recent years Rod has found a niche in the market specialising in medium to large business sales. He has been involved in some of the largest sales ever achieved on the Coast and is often called upon by Accountants and Solicitors throughout Queensland to value businesses and to assist their clients.

Having gained invaluable experience with most styles of businesses, some of Rod's previous sales include: new and existing franchises, tourism related businesses, large retail outlets, newsagencies, post offices, food & restaurants, large manufacturing, service industry and even home based businesses.

Most of Rod's listings and sales come from referrals. Many of his clients have had previous dealings with him as either buyers or sellers and they often come back. Some agents will tell people anything just to keep them happy, this can eventually cost them big money.

"Rod has an uncanny knack of being able to match the right buyer to the 'perfect business' - "Many of my listings are sold before they're advertised - which is fantastic! I get buyer's enquiries from all over the place, so it's imperative that I qualify what businesses will suit that particular buyer. It's easy to get caught up if your not careful."

So, the secret to Rod's success? "I absolutely love what I do. I have been involved in sales since I was 18, but never have I been in a situation where I love going to work so much each day. At the end of the day I feel that I'm fortunate to be able to help so many people achieve their dreams. It may be that the sellers are finally retiring after a lifetime of hard work, or it could be the satisfaction of seeing first time business owners set out to make their mark on life."
